Walk the Talk Fashion & Jewellery Tour

Friday 3 September 1pm-3pm

Visit fashion studios in the heart of the old city and discover Dunedin’s Jewellery Quarter with a Walk the Talk Tour. 

This walking tour will take you to fashion studios and  jewellery workspaces you may have otherwise missed.   You will get to visit a colourful fashion studio that has something for everyone.   Meet our contemporary jewellers and take the opportunity to try on gorgeous pieces created  from precious stones, metals and reworked materials. 

Tour costs $25.00 per person and departs at 1pm outside the Dunedin Public Art Gallery finishing in the Octagon at 3pm.  This tour requires a minimum of 10 people and can be booked on the registration form.

First City Double-Deck Bus Tour

Friday 3 September 1pm - 2pm

If you are pressed for time this one-hour introduction tour to the historic life and times in Dunedin will be for you. This bus tour loops from the Octagon via First Church, the Exchange, Botanic Gardens, Otago University, Cadburys, Railway Station, Speights Heritage Brewery, Art Gallery and St Paul's Cathedral.

Tour costs $20.00 and departs from the Octagon at 1pm returning at 2pm. This can be booked on the conference registration form.

First City Bus & Olverston House Guided Tour

 Friday 3 September 1pm - 3.15pm

This is the First City Double-Deck Bus Tour with the addition of a guided tour through Olverston House.  This faithfully restored Jacobean house was built in 1904 and captures the lifestyle of a privileged family in the early 1900's. 

Tour costs $35.00 (book on conference registration form) and departs from the Octagon at 1pm returning at 3.15pm.

Anatomy Museum Tour

Friday 3 September 1pm - 2.30pm

This is a tour that is usually unavailable to the general public and is a fascinating tour through this Medical School teaching facility.  There are anatomy models (both real and replicated) and  extensive information about human anatomy and the preparation of specimens.  (Be aware that the material is prepared from human remains bequested to the Medical School)
